ABSTRACT
Recently, interest in reflectionless filters has been increasing to increase filter performances. In this project, it is aimed to design a reflectionless filter at 50 MHz, targeting 2 dB loss in the band and 40 dB loss out of band (after 60 MHz). Component values for the reflectionless filter were determined. Brands such as Murata, Panasonic and ATC were used for passive elements. The filter was developed using the AWR program. Firstly, a first-order low-pass filter was designed and S-parameters were measured. The circuit was designed with microstrip lines and its layout was created. Then, the filter was converted into a cascaded third-order low-pass structure, new S parameters were obtained and EM simulations were performed. All these stages are explained in detail and the results are evaluated.
