Abstract:

The solar umbrella is designed to prevent the harmful effects of sunlight and to protect people from harmful effects as well as to use the energy needed in places where the electricity cannot be unreachable. Apart from this, solar energy is very useful for the economy. But, we don’t have a good chance to use it in every field. Especially, if you are in an open area such as a beach, park or street, we cannot use this free energy to charge the devices. In this project, we designed a smart solar system which can be used efficiently. A verythorough investigation and researching were carried out to ensure efficiency before starting design. The main components of this research are a solar charger, solar panel types, battery types. The type of charging controller, solar panel, battery, inverter, and connection cableswere determined theoretically. While we determined this, the standards of IEC 60891 and EN50380, 1725-2011 IEEE, RG174, IEC 62116 and IEC 62109 were examined and used in our system.A wireless waiter call system for the smart umbrella was applied and added. ESP-32S module Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module were used for this communication system. Problems that may arise as a result of our research were identified before our project started. These are the weather conditions like rain and anything that could disconnect sunlight from the panel like leaf, snow, shadow, etc… Overheating and short-circuit condition for batteries. For the inverter, overheating is due to overload. After considering all these problems, the system design was completed, the circuit was completed and the test results were observed in detail.
