Abstract:

There are many RF circuit elements. One of them is filters. The filters we use in many areas of life have a great importance in RF because many RF projects also include filter topologies. Especially considering the communication, we need filters in both receiver and transmitter blocks. In this thesis, bandpass filter design and simulation with 2 and 3 GHz cut-off frequencies designed using microstrip line and varicap diode technology are shown. The frequency responses of the filter can be controlled by changing the capacitive effect on the lines by means of varicap diodes connected to the microstrip lines. This is the situation that gives the filter the “Tunable” feature. Design and simulation was realized in AWR Microwave Office program. In addition to these, different RF and design technologies such as microstrip transmission line are also mentioned in this thesis.
