Designing and Realization of Switched Filterbank for Transmit Systems at UHF/VHF

Abstract:

The design and implementation of switched filter-bank for 30–512 MHz is reported in this paper. This filterbank is developed for harmonic suppression for power amplifiers system. It includes SP6T and filters. SP6T design is based on PIN diodes. Series-series topology is used for switching circuit. There are 6 filters for operating band. These filters are low-pass. In this way, the level of harmonics of main signal which is amplified by power amplifier can be attenuated. Harmonics of main signal can be attenuated at least 60 dB with this developed unit. This unit can handle power 100 W RF CW signal. The simulation of it is done with AWR. Scattering parameters of simulation and measurement result was compered. The design is realized and tested at the specified power at operating frequency band. The difference between harmonics and main signal is shown in dBc.
